Herbie’s Lineage
Herbie is a phenomenal athlete who was born to lead. His yearling year he showed us he is almost a clone of his sire Pilot, though slightly different in looks and personality, both went right into lead as yearlings and stayed there. No surprise as they come from a long line of dogs who have went into lead at a young age with a wisdom and focus seemingly years ahead of being yearlings. Herbie harness broke beautifully at 6 months of age and went right into the 2025 training season at just 11 months old. A late yearling, born in September, he trained with the main team as we prepared them for the Iditarod. He learned to camp, travel, knock out long runs, and much more. I can’t say enough about this special youngster with the blue fleck in his brown eyes.
