Lusa’s Lineage
Lusa had a long career of 18 races over 7 years time. As a yearling Lusa led in her first race like a professional along side 9 year old Fender. At the age of two Lusa finished the Kuskokwim 300, the Two River’s 200, the Nenana Ice Classic, and finished the Kobuk 440 in lead. She was born to be one of those extra gifted athletes who never missed a beat, was never dropped from a race, and was a very easy going and focused athlete who gave 100%. Lusa was also a wonderful hiking companion and walking buddy. Lusa loved to go swimming in the summer and for adventures. She was one of Will’s favorite dog’s of all time and they had a special bond. Lusa was a small dog around 42 lbs, with a seamless gait in a lope or a trot; she often crossed the finish line in swing or in lead. We bred Lusa when she was four, but unfortunately she had to have an emergency spay after complications during pregnancy.
Race History
2018
3rd Valley Funale- with Rick Mackey. This was Lusa’s first race and first time running for my dad. A fun end of the season event in Two Rivers, AK. Lusa ran in lead with flying colors in a local race known for being a bit of circus with tons of team, passings, and mayhem, etc. They averaged 14.5 around the course, passed 4 teams from behind and passed our home in trail along the course. A great event for pups.

1st Nenana Ice Classic Tripod 40/40. Main leader, led on day two with KP.
1st Two Rivers 200/Vet’s Choice Award
7th Kobuk 440. Finishing leader with KP.
2020
10th Kuskokwim 300. Main leader and finishing leader with Spark.
2nd Willow 300 2020. Main leader and finishing leader with Monarch.
2nd Nenana Ice Classic Tripod Race 40/40- with Roland Mackey. Her first time running with my brother. Main leader and finishing leader with Pan. Main team took 1st.
1st Two Rivers 200. Main leader.

1st Willow 300- main leader.
2nd Nenana Ice Classic 40/40 (2nd to the other half of our main team)
